As internet applications evolve and rich application development environments become readily avialable for the internet, companies start to realise the benifits and start changing their e-commerce strategies to match the evolution process..

As in the case of Computer2000, they quickly realised the benefits, developed their E-commerce BtoC solution and had every intention on expanding these offerings as they were saving the company money, making them money and providing a faster, more accurate service to the customer.

A number of projects evolved out of the original offering and they are as follows

Project 1: Credit Online

Allows user access to credit information, including: account balance, copy documents and statement of accounts.

Project 2: Returns Online

Provides a facility whereby users can request the return of goods for various reasons. The application also allows the user to check warranty details and view the progress of historical requests.

Project 3: Despatch Online

Displays information on orders as they progress through our warehouse to the carriers and ultimately delivery information. From this application the user can see the current status of an order, link to carrier web sites to track an order, and check the contents of a delivery.
